How far in advance do I need to order my cake?
Please try to order your cake as soon as possible. If you are ordering a rich fruit cake, please provide three months’ notice to allow it to mature properly. We will endeavour to meet requests for short-notice orders, but these depend on availability. Call or email us for bookings.
What cake size do I need?
The number of people that a cake will feed will vary depending on how the cake is cut. For more details, please read our wedding cake portion guide.
Portion Guide
Our portion guide is intended as a reference only based on finger sized portions of 1" x 1" x 4" slices . This will vary depending on how the chef cuts the cake. Please note that iced dummy layers can also be included to give the effect of a larger cake without providing unnecessary portions.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes please. Only a deposit of 50% of the value of the order secures your slot in the diary. Please read our terms and conditions for full details.

How much are your cakes?
Prices vary depending on the size and complexity of the cake design. Since all cakes produced are bespoke to your individual needs, prices will reflect this. Contact us to request a quote and to discuss your specifications
What flavours of cake can I have?
Just about any, within reason and in any combination, in different layers of tiered cake! Please see our most popular flavours; for any special requests simply discuss with us and we will endeavour to meet your requirements
Can you just ice a cake?
We understand the sentimental significance of having a friend or family member bake your cake however Sweet cannot accept responsibility for food we have not produced. We do not ice or decorate cakes that are not made on our premises. We apologise for any disappointment.
